A brief History of the development of bulova accutron
watches:
In
1952 Bulova begins developing accutron movements, the first
breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. Accutron, the
first fully electronic watch, promises to keep time to within 2 seconds
a day. In 1960 Nasa Incorporates accutron movements in to the
space programs computer system. In 1961 the first bulova accutron watch
is introduced to the public. 1962 bulova accutron watches become
certified to be used by railroad personnel. 1967 bulova accutron clocks
are the only clocks used on airforce one. 1973 A special accutron alarm
clock is designed to go on the world’s 1st space labaratory. 1973
bulova accutron quartz movements are introduced. 1977 bulova accutron
